From the ink + paper used we use for stationary items to exclusively working with NFTP’s (non-timber forest products), this business truly maintains a reciprocal relationship with Mother Earth. We exclusively use upcycled wood and glass to hold our sacred products. We source wild (not mono-crop farmed) + locally grown herbs. We have an extremely low carbon footprint and partner with our friends at the Eden Reforestation Project (ERP) to plant 2 mangrove trees with each product purchase. 

Mangrove trees offset carbon emissions while ERP works with Indigenous communities to fight against deforestation and to enhance biodiversity. Our mission in partnering with ERP is to continue protecting planet earth by generating long-term socioeconomic benefits for Indigenous communities. It is an honor to have planted over 445 trees that were fully funded by online orders here at Of Forest & Human.

Our shipping + packaging is made from 100% compostable or recyclable items and we heavily focus on eliminating single use plastics. We are always looking for ways to deepen our commitment to being incredibly low waste and are excited to see how we can expand on this in the future.

We choose to work with a small and conscious business for all of our printing needs. 

• Our labels are printed on 100% hemp paper with a waterproof coating. 

• Our stationary products are printed with plant dye (which uses minimal water and no acid or chemicals) on handmade cotton rag paper. 

• Our glass is triple walled, hand frosted, and designed to be washed + reused when you have finished the product. 

We take our business partnerships very seriously and prioritize building personal relationships with the women we source ingredients from. We are ingredient-obsessed and create in small batches to ensure the exclusivity, potency, and quality of each ingredient. Our prices are determined by the harvesters we buy from which ensures that they receive fair pay based on the prices they themselves set.
