Of Forest & Human was created from a desire to rebuild community as it should be: interconnected and rooted in the earth. To source ingredients and materials as locally and relationally as possible- grown in the soil beneath our feet, and gathered from homesteaders, herbalists, neighbors, co-ops, and the wide web of hands that make up our shared ecosystem. To give back freely, trusting that care is a cycle, not a transaction.
We collaborate with other small makers, gardens, collectives, and community spaces that are moving in the same direction, so our offerings can live in shops, spas, apothecaries, etc. that align with our mission of people/land over profit.
We do the work of showing up: hands in the soil, presence in the neighborhood, participating in the slow labor of tending. To share resources. To refuse extraction. To create outside and beyond capitalism.
Our glass vessels are made from recycled materials, sealed with renewed corkwood tops. Our labels are printed on waterproof hemp paper. Our product boxes are fully compostable, printed with plant-dyed ink and collected mountain rainwater. Everything we create begins with the land itself- our ingredients are foraged, homegrown, and sourced from neighbors, growers, and local stewards.
We plant two trees for every product purchased and contribute directly to local mutual aid networks, grassroots organizers, and community nonprofits. Of Forest & Human has also provided direct financial support to families and individuals experiencing hardship- no questions asked, no paperwork, just care.
Our prices are a transparent reflection of the wages our growers, partners, and farmers request. No exploitation, no middlemen, no hidden markups- just reciprocity. Your dollar circulates through real people, real community.
