So uh...what's been going on at Of Forest & Human the past few months?!

So glad you asked. ⬇️

We’re Miranda and Sam, the two people you’ll now start seeing on all of our content and branding. Miranda started OFH in 2022 and Sam recently joined the team as OFH moved from mountainous Colorado to the Twin Cities!

Welcome to our “blog” which we are adorably calling our Field Notes. It feels more accurate. Hopefully this can be a place where we can connect, share about our lives, our products, our process, and other community happenings and worldwide topics.

But on a personal level right now? As you’ve probably noticed, we are working on website and content updates. Miranda has done the entire thing up until now, so having someone else to join the team is a HUGE step. Sam is a writer and graphic designer and is thrilled to be joining the OFH team.

So uh–what can you expect from us over the next few months? The same amazing products we’ve always offered, plus fun and temporary additions that are mostly available at in person markets. A slow and gentle brand transition. We are using up all of our glass and labels before using new ones! You may receive a mixture of branding when making purchases over the next couple of months. KNOW that this is in an effort to keep our business sustainable! We don’t just throw things away because we want something shinier.

You can expect more and more behind the scenes content as we reorient our lives to running our own business full time. We’ll try to update Instagram more often.

The things we saw most on a recent “what do you want to see?” post on Instagram were more knowledge about plants and the process of making our products and then more about our story and lives. We both felt warm loved watching that feedback come in as those are things we want to share, above all. The process, the plants, the reality.

Expect newer content and know that every time you kick out a post, a product, or a blogpost, you are actively supporting a local family and their tiny flock of ducks and chickens.
